Who is Med South?

Med-South Sleep Ventures is the polysomnography subsidiary of Med-South, Incorporated.

Med-South was founded in 1984 and is a substantial and viable company. We are a diversified healthcare organization built on the belief that providing excellence in diagnostic testing and patient care -including appropriate therapies- will result in substantional financial returns on investment. Med-South provides the latest in home health and medical equipment, services, and supplies.

Our skilled professionals are certified experts in their fields. We help thousands of clients each day with orthotics, rehabilitation equipment and respiratory disease management.

Med-South provides specialized pharmacy drugs through three pharmacies that supply  customized pharmacy services and unit dose respiratory medications. We also provide diagnostic nuclear imaging with Positron Emission tomography under joint venture agreements.

History

Med-South opened its first sleep disorder joint venture in 1998. With the success of that initial partnership, we opened additional centers in Alabama— all structured under a joint venture agreement(s) and all of them patient-oriented and financially successful.

We  developed our own state-of-the-art school, the Alabama School of Sleep Medicine and Technology. Here we focus on training physicians and technologists with classes that offer students both hands-on clinical experience and up-to-date education in sleep disorder diagnostics.
